Andreescu held serve throughout the second set and earned breaks in the fifth and seventh games to serve for the match. She didn't convert her match point in that game, and Schaefer broke, but Andreescu came up with some of her best play of the match in the final game, hitting a return winner, a forehand winner, a net cord winner, and on match point, a backhand winner.

Andreescu lost early at Cincinnati, almost lost to Golubic in the USO 1R and lost to Rogers in her first match in Chicago 2. Bianca is doing well nowhere for the moment. Only at Miami she really played like her 2019 self against tough opponents (Muguruza, peaking SST and Sakkari) and still it wasn't always convincing.
Gauff’s FH is a joke and I say that as a fan. Raducanu’s FH is potent at least it was during this US Open. Raducanu’s 1st serve was very effective so I don’t know if Andreescu has a better 1st serve but she probably won’t in the future anyway. Raducanu’s movement is on another level to Andreescu.
